It’s been a long wait, but at long last we at Contour Blinds are proud to introduce our Brand New Ranges of Skye Blinds which are compatible for the complete range of Keylite Roof Windows.
Up to now we could only supply blinds for Keylites’ older style of Roof Blinds which created some confusion as the window codes were very similar across the three ranges of windows.
In simple terms here are the three ranges.
Original Range (known as the “0” Range) e.g., 01,04,06 etc.
NEW Timber Range (known as the T Range) e.g. T01, T04, T06 etc. If the code on your window’s ID plate starts with T, then this is you range for the Blackout Blind.
NEW Polar Range or commonly called the “Plastic” Range. These windows are the right up to date windows and have a pvc covering. (Hence the nickname of “plastic.” It’s no surprise then that the window codes start with the letter “P.” e.g., P01 P04, P06 etc.)
I can just imagine someone on their step ladder having a look at the code but not having a pen and a piece of paper do write it down. Let’s just say it is a “P05”. By the time they get back to their PC they have forgotten the code and when they log back in and the first blind, they see is a Keylite “05”, and think “that must be the correct one.” WRONG!!!
The “0” Ranges of Keylite Roof Blinds are completely different sizes to the “T” Range and the “P” Range and WILL NOT FIT. Neither will a “T” fit a “P” window or vice versa.
Of course, Keylite are not the only manufactures of Roof Windows. I guess that most people are familiar with the name “Velux” and indeed many people would use the name Velux to describe make of roof vent or window.
Below is a complete list of Roof Windows that we supply blinds for.
- Velux and New Generation Velux.
- Keylite
- Fakro
- Rooflite
- Dakstra
These Skye Roof Blinds come in a choice of EIGHT different Blackout Fabric Colours and a choice of either silver or white side rails and cassette. On the last count I believe that we had 205 different sizes across all the ranges and if you consider that these Skye Roof Blinds come in a choice of EIGHT different Blackout Fabric Colours and a choice of either silver or white side rails and cassette.
Included in each order are all the parts, components, and easy-to-understand instructions. The only tool you will require is a screwdriver.
At Contour Blinds we have made it easy to help you choose the right blind for your window as detailed below.
Skye Roof Blinds for Keylite Windows
Again, these Keylite Roof Windows can easily be catered for with a Skye Roof Blind.
However, you just need to be extra careful that you make a note of the EXACT window code.
Skye Roof Blinds for Fakro Windows
Just like the Velux and Keylite Roof Windows you will be able to find the code you require in the bottom left-hand corner on the vent.
